december views: new.
the clove in the orange peel and the aloe bloom.
the poem read aloud and the shaking hand that rings the bell to end the silence.
i set fire to tea lights over and over again.
i can either fold or size-up.
pray a little louder. (or softer still)
i hold your gifts in my hands.
wrapped in layers of generosity.
intention.
and love.
(i am taught)
i see now that knowing is a funny thing.
really knowing takes courage to call it so.
because what is known is often the most absurdly obvious. the thing we thought we knew all along.
and, now that i really know, everything is changed.
